Geosynthetic Clay Liners (GCLs)

Geosynthetic clay liners (GCLs) are interesting just a position of polymer and natural soil materials or bonded to geomembrane. Structural intergrity of the compostie is obtained by neeedle-punching, stitching, or physical bonding. GCLs are used as a composite component beneath a geomembrane or by themselves in enviromental and containtment applications as well as transportation, geotechnical, hydraulic, and various private development applications. GCLs are indeed hydraulic barriers to liquid movement, and as such they are competitive or complimentaru wherever geomembranes and compacted clay liner are used
